Artist Statement

Words on the Street was captured during a sunrise walk near the Brooklyn Bridge. While photographing the city’s landmarks, I looked down and noticed a small plaque marking “DUMBO.” Its rough texture, balanced light, and understated elegance drew my attention. In converting the image to black and white, I found a meditation on language, distance, and the unnoticed beauty that lives in plain sight.
